As for the advertised pressure of 45m, I cant test this as I have no means to do so. As for the waterproof ability of the case, I left it submerged for 15 mins with no sign of water leaking in. Using a pen is a lot easier, but a pen shouldn't have to be used. I didnt have much fingernail going on, but I can just press the button when pushing in all the way. As you can see the plastic button doesnt extend very far and this makes it a little difficult to hitt the button on the camera. As for the settings button at the rear, there is a plastic square button which doesn't work as well as the one on top. There is a button on for the 'One press record' which again is similar to previous cases, nothing ground-breaking here. The front surface is nice and clear but smudges/fingerprints fairly easily. The cases has a white rubber ring on the back door with a latch that is similar to the Hero 3 cases. Doesnt look as impressive as the cases you get from GoPro although quite similar in design to previous cases. Thus began the hunt for a reputable third party waterproof case.
For snowboarding this isn't an issue, but I have a new found love for scuba diving and 10m wont get me far. Perhaps the only negative I found with the device is that it was only waterproof to 10m and there were no supported/provided waterproof cases if 10m was too little. I'd been looking at it for a while and all the specs appealed to me: small form factor, etc, everything I would need and actually use (how many people are actually going to upload 4k to youtube? srsly).
